Okay the speedpainting is mostly the background. I blocked it in like 3 times before I was happy. The main figure took a little longer, but I had done it a while ago. The parts I really wanted to emphasize are the staff and the sky. I really like how the clouds turned out.
I know I could probably spend another 3 years on this and make it super detailed, but it was more of a study to get the hang of painting in photoshop. Crits appreciated! I need to work on my lighting skillz :3 This is a FOmarl class Hunter from Phantasy Star Online. |

I rather like it. The intensity of the lighting on the figure from the staff is a really nice touch. Really gives the sense of some powerful spell being woven.
