I updated my site yesterday [link] and posted drawings that I haven't been posting on DA because.. well they're mostly just sketches, hehe. I'll be posting a couple here and there, but only to my scraps.

And now I rant about my busy, pointless life! hee hee.

Sometimes you really do have to take the time just to breathe. I haven't been doing that enough lately. It's bad enough that I stress so easily, that I tend to freak out over the smallest things. I turn something like an amazing gift of getting a used car for free from my parents into a seemingly logistical nightmare because I have to get car insurance and didn't know where to start. Of course my parents are helping me though, but I have that silly habit of blowing things WAY out of proportion, even when they are very simple tasks that can be completed easily and stress-free if you just go about it the right way.

I also take on way too many things. One reason why I stopped taking commissions is because I just don't have the time to do them. I leave for work at 7 am on weekdays. Work is generally pretty easy going and relaxed, and I can take some breaks here and there to check my own personal e-mail, even to sneak in a site update every week. I can't really do much as far as drawing commissions though, because that would be a little obvious, hehe. Sometimes over lunch hours I can work on them, though.

When I get home usually my main priority is.. FOOD! So I usually cook up something, which I love doing, cooking is definitely one of my favourite hobbies. So by the time I'm done cooking and cleaning up after myself, I guess about an hour and a bit has gone by. Then, if I'm being diligent and responsible, I will practice my cello for one hour. Lately I've been pretty good with this, as I've been able to keep up with it a lot lately. Nevermind the fact that I have a recital in a week or so and am scrambling to get the piece perfect, lol. Pressure always helps But yeah. Then by this time it's around.. what.. 7? 8? Then I usually relax for an hour or so, and this is when I might get some time to draw, if I'm not cleaning or doing laundry, or out doing errands, or visiting family, or hanging out with roommates... lol. Then I have to get ready for bed at 10pm because I have to wake up at 5:30 the next morning x_x ugh.

So where does my week fly to? Away, into the abyss.. the place where time just seems to fly away! Then I realize.. oh crap! I haven't worked on so and so's commission in a month! Or.. I was supposed to look into this and that ages ago! Blah. I swear even if I stopped working full time and had all day to work on my art and do errands, I'd still be busy all the time x_x

And this is the point where I really do realize that i have a great life, and sometimes I just give myself too much to do, get too easily stressed, and forget that I really do have it good. Because no matter how busy or bad things may seem sometimes, they could always be a whole lot worse! How can I even complain? I have a good job, an amazing husband (albeit long distance right now ;_; ) and a nice place to live. I really have to stop complaining.
